My feeling with the i-Weekend is that one can’t do it half-heartedly. The times we have done the full thing – Friday night, Saturday morning, banquet on Saturday night and i-Commit on Sunday morning have been the most fruitful. It pulls people into something much larger than themselves and expands their horizons. That is what I have faith for!

I also think that the i-Trail is not something we should be shrinking back from at all, but doing it fully. I know with the guys it has been brilliant. But I also think God has done amazing things on i-Trails with the ladies that has build depth of relationship and camaraderie which persists of the years that we are together.

Another element that I have a dream to include in developing i-Generation further is i-Teams – which is getting people on mission. We did it at Grace Generation – got those who had gone through i-Groups going on mission to the Eastern Cape. I would love to plan a mission to Mozambique later this year with i-Genners. What are your thoughts?

Another element that we always had in mind when we started i-Generation was i-Work, investing both a theology of work and process to get people into the work-place. Here I need Jonny who has a passion for this and linkages with the Dream Centre and with our entrepreneurs prayer initiative. At the end of the process I would love there to be this step in place that can take people who need it on into lives where their potential is unlocked. We just need to put the processes and connections in place and I believe God will fill it with people. Sarah-Beth perhaps in here is some educational needs that need to be addressed even prior to people being able to engage with the workplace?

Hi Dave, I think anything i-Gen would be wonderful. I’ve done a group once, to a measure, but not the trail just the meetings – it was one of the best things about my first year here in KZN. Thanks for spearheading it – very exciting.
